YouthBelieve: February 2006

My First Week in tada MYOB Asia.

Yes, MYOB Asia is the name! This is where i'm working now. Kinda 'boleh tahan' place, interesting working culture here (compared to the others i've joined before). Well, the first day was so-so. I reported for work at 20th Feb, around 8 am.. and to my surprise, they were expecting me to come in on 20th Mac. I was like 'u guys serious???'. Wat the *beep*?? is going on??!! Obviously, a serious miscommunication issue has happened between myself, my agent and MYOB. Anyway, they were quite happy that i was able to come in earlier than they expected. My PC was not ready yet but i was assigned a temporary one. Ok.. things are not too bad for now ... Oh yea, i was surprised to see one of my ex-colleagues working here too! Viknesh is his name..
Well, nothing much to update u guys for the first week.. but yea, one thing before i forget.. i was kinda browsing thru some blogsites and u guess wat i ve found? One of my new colleague 's blogsite http://removed_on_6th_Apr_2006 for privacy_purpose. Hehe.. wat a coincidence.. it seems that im good at running into blogs of people that i know *cough*.
Alrite.. guess i will stop here for now.. its 1.58 AM yo .. and i need to get some sleep .. ZZzz..

Last Day in beep (M) Sdn Bhd

Yes, today's my last day in my co. Just had breakfast with all of my colleagues in Bestari (mamak stall). Came up to office, cleared up my stuffs in PC and laptop and surf for the last time in *beep* (M) Sdn Bhd *grin*. Took me just a short while to write a 'thank you' email to my collegues. It goes something like this:

Dear all, today 18th Feb 2006 will be my last day in *beep* (M) Sdn Bhd. I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude and many thanks for the chance given to me to work together with you all throughout the past 17 months. It has really been a rewarding experience for me and I would also like to wish*beep*(M) Sdn Bhd and *beep* (sister company) all the best in its future undertakings. Thanks.

Some updates from me..

Occassionaly there are things that crossed my mind that i would wanna blog it down. There are 2 in this instance:

1) Just a note of reminder that, http://youthbelieve.blogspot.com is a secondary blogsite for YouthBelieve. This is the place where u will find updates on YouthBelieve activities plus some of my own very personal blogumentary *some term i invented for blogging of personal stuffs*. The main site for YouthBelieve would be http://youthbelieve.multiply.com.

2) I believe that i've not updated u with the news that i'm leaving my current company, *beep* (M) Sdn. Bhd. this 18th Feb 2006. Will be joining my new company this coming 20th Feb 2006. Well, been looking forward for this new change. This new co. that im joining is a multinational co., quite big and well-known. Hoping to be able to learn some new stuffs from them, not just technically but maybe on project management side as well. Told some folks abt my new change and their response was, 'Huh? Change again ah??'.. never expected their response to be like this but hey, i do believe change is good.. im hoping for the better. i've been in Software development for 4 years now. I worked for 2 years++ in my first co., *beep* (M) Sdn Bhd. Then joined another co., *beep* Berhad (a public listed co. now), which only lasted 1 month++ (was being relocated to JB rite after 2 weeks i joined them), and now, with my current co. for 1 year ++. Dun intend to jump boat this often anymore.. Wish me all the best guys.. ;)

Kinda 'mo liu' today .. went and typed the Keyword 'YouthBelieve' in the Google search box and clicked 'Search'.. hey, wat did i found? Someone that used to attend YouthBelieve posted my link on her blogsite. Yippie! <*girlish hurray>. Anyway, check out her cool blogsite http://ellegirl85.blogspot.com. She was supposed to sing for us in YB, sigh .. no chance to listen to her yet.

'Lo Yu Sang' ...

This is where we 'lo yu sang', or mix the 'yu sang' together before u eat it. Its a culture among the Chinese to 'lo yu sang' during the CNY. They said the higher u 'lo' the 'yu sang', the better it is for yr career, finance, love-life.. etc. Well, to most of us, its just an occassion for family members to get together. :D

This is 'Yu Sang'. A must CNY dish. Its a mixture of .... so many stuffs like raw fish, jelly fish,.. some colorful stuffs .. some cracker like stuffs ... so many ..
